Job Location: Sawmill - Eugene, OR
Salary Range: $45.00 - $45.00 Hourly
Description
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, circuits, and machinery in the sawmill facility.
- Trouble shoot and diagnose electrical malfunctions, including issues with motors, control panels, transformers, lighting, and power distribution systems.
- Ensure electrical wiring is up to code, safe, and functional for various sawmill equipment.
- Perform routine inspections of electrical equipment and systems to identify potential issues before they result in downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on electrical systems and equipment.
- Report electrical issues, maintenance requirements, and equipment failures to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work Closely with other maintenance and operational teams to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of sawmill equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an apprenticeship program (4-5 years)
- Journeyman electrician license
- Experience in industrial electrical systems and sawmill operations preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical safety standards and practices
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
- Continuous learning to keep up with changes in electrical codes and technology
