POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Director of Business Intelligence, the Technical Project Manager will lead the delivery of our technology projects, while also leveraging business/data analysis skills to drive project success. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders, to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet our high-quality standards. This role will also involve gathering and analyzing data, building reports, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that shape strategic initiatives. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work on a variety of projects that are critical to our growth, in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
You are an experienced Technical Project Manager or similar with a track record of managing complex projects, preferably in a technical discipline and an understanding of business processes and process improvement. You excel at planning, coordinating, and delivering technical projects, and enjoy fostering collaboration between teams. You have experience documenting requirements and analyzing business processes. You are also skilled at digging deep into data to find insights and making recommendations to drive strategic decision making.
You are comfortable working remotely and can effectively lead virtual teams across multiple time zones. You possess strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and are adept at managing stakeholders and setting expectations. You have experience with project management methodologies and have a good understanding of software development processes. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited to work on projects that have a direct impact on the company's growth. You are also willing to develop and manage QA processes and collaborate across multiple teams and functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Strong understanding of Project Management methodologies and experience working with software development teams.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with effective prioritization.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate information.
- Proficiency in at least one project management tool.
- Experience in PowerBI, Tableau, or a similar data reporting tool.
- Advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Excel.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Scheduling:
- Monday - Friday, (hours based on local time zone)
- Occasional work outside normal hours as needed
- This position is eligible for remote work
Mental Ability:
- Experience with creating detailed reports and giving presentations to upper-level management, including C-Suite.
- Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
- Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language required.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- Must pass drug screening test
Environmental Conditions:
- Air-conditioned, office environment (if in office in Oahu)
Education:
- Four-year college degree in business, technology or related field; however, a minimum of five (5) years of working experience, as defined below, can be substituted for educational requirements.
Experience:
- A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years’ work experience as a Technical Project Manager, preferably in a software development environment - OR - 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role (Product Owner, Program Coordinator, Business Analyst, etc.) with a demonstrated increase in responsibilities.
Desired Skills:
- PMP, CSM, or similar certifications
- Experience in the restaurant or retail industry
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as Azure
- Familiarity with SQL and querying databases
