The Senior Accountant will be responsible for ensuring a timely and successful month-end close process by handling the more technical processes and procedures within the department. Responsibilities
- Perform monthly and quarterly accounting close activities as assigned, including preparation of monthly account reconciliations and roll forwards
- Maintain the master lease schedule and assist with purchase accounting entries
- Assist in the monthly ASC 842 (Leases) entry.
- Assist in the development of internal controls and work effectively with team for implementation of related processes
- Assist with continuous review and improvement of accounting practices and procedure
- Interact with and provide information to external auditors during the annual financial audit
- Work on ad hoc projects as necessary
- Complete fixed asset roll forwards and reconciliations.
- Ensure proper accounting for all fixed assets including capitalizations, transfers, disposals, depreciation and impairment.
- Become a subject matter expert (SME) on revenue recognition and ASC 606.
- Assist with maintenance of ASC 606 accounting policies.
- Initiate and / or complete additional job duties that may not be described above
