Job Description
Tend or operate one or more production machines running manual, semi-automatic or automatic cycle. Perform one or more of a variety of hand or machine operations on molded plastic parts, purchased parts, and inserts including assembly operations. Ensure adherence to defined quality standards and Zirc documented processes.
This is a full-time permanent role with a working schedule of 6:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Thursday.
Job Responsibilities
- Tend or operate one or more plastic molding machines running manual, semi-automatic; or automatic cycle. When tending automatic cycle machines, multiple machine coverage will be required if time permits. As required remove and grind runners and sprues.
- Visually inspect and sort all parts to a predetermined quality level for flaws. Performs operator inspections per Work Instruction. Provide production parts to quality personnel for inspection purposes.
- Assemble and/or finish parts by hand or using various equipment.
- Move containers with finished goods to staging/receiving area.
- Maintain work area in an orderly manner and to be free from unnecessary material. May empty trash.
- Report all machine, equipment, production or processing problems to the supervisor or qualified personnel.
- Actively assist in training others as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Working towards or have received a High School Diploma or GED
- Must be 18 years old
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to see different colors
