The Software Developer coordinates and provides technical guidance and leadership to a group engaged in computer system applications. Coordinates and reviews work of others for techniques, procedures, and technical approach. Develops, modifies, and maintains complex computer programs. Performs requirements analyses, derives mathematical description, develops appropriate computational algorithms, and provides design specifications for computer programs. Develops operational procedures for computer systems. Interprets and analyzes processing anomalies for computer systems and takes corrective action. Prepares and critique technical reports and memoranda. Assists management in defining computer system requirements.

Developers design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements. Developers test and deploy programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software. They compile and assess user feedback to improve software performance. They observe user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products. They develop technical documentation to guide future software development projects.

Responsibilities
- Typical Duties Include:
- Collaborates with management, departments, and customers to identify end user requirements and specifications
- Designs algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Tests and deploys programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
- Compiles and assesses user feedback to improve software performance
- Observes user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products
- Develops technical documentation to guide future software development projects
- Support Agile team(s) in high-level design, integration and verification of software components
- Support Agile team(s) in development and implementation of software components
- Test and deploy programs and applications, and troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software
- Design algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems and produce efficient and elegant code based on requirements
- Attend and Participate in Periodic Large Scale Agile Planning events
- Attend and participate in standard Agile ritual meetings (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives)
- Candidate must exhibit a professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation, and enhances productivity in the workplace. Must be well organized with the ability to coordinate, prioritize, and execute multiple tasks simultaneously in a high-pressure environment. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to work effectively with a variety of government, military, and contractor personnel at all levels
- Candidate must be able to interface effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Wide breadth of expertise in ability to train less-experienced developers and software test personnel in the use of development languages, tools and environments in the design and development of software-centric solutions
- Experience with Java, C , Eclipse/IntelliJ IDEs, JUnit, etc
- Experience with Agile Development methodologies
- Desired: Experience in Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration Environments
- YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 12 years
- SECURITY CLEARANCE: TS/SCI
- EDUCATION: BS/BA Degree required

Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
