We are seeking an experienced and innovative Data Center Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing data center solutions that integrate seamlessly with hybrid-cloud and on-premise technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of modern data center architectures, cloud computing platforms, and emerging technologies to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions. As a Data Center Architect, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies that align with business objectives and technological advancements.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Design and Architecture :
- Develop comprehensive data center designs that support hybrid-cloud and on-premise environments that comply with NIST 800-53 controls
- Create scalable and resilient architecture plans to meet business continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies to enhance infrastructure performance and efficiency.
- Document designs using Cameo Model Based System Engineering (MBSE), Department of Defense Architecture Framework, and / or American Society of Mechanical Engineering (ASME) hardware drawings
- Provide supportability analysis of data center hardware and software including end-of-life / end-of-service forecasting
- Implementation and Deployment :
- Lead the implementation of data center solutions, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deploy hybrid-cloud solutions and on-premise systems.
- Oversee infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and expansions while minimizing downtime.
- Management and Optimization :
- Monitor data center performance and implement optimizations to improve reliability, security, and efficiency.
- Establish and maintain standards for data center operations, including capacity planning and lifecycle management.
- Support development of end-to-end system performance models
- Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify risks and areas for improvement.
- Work with data center equipment OEMs to understand product roadmaps and provide impact assessments to program Chief Engineer
- Collaboration and Leadership :
- Actively participate in multidiscipline Agile teams
- Partner with cloud architects, network engineers, and other stakeholders to align strategies and deliver cohesive solutions.
- Provide required design information to systems engineering team
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members and other IT staff.
- Communicate effectively with executives and non-technical stakeholders to convey complex technical concepts.
- Compliance and Security :
- Ensure data center solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational security policies.
- Implement robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
