Member of the Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Resource Management Area (RMA). This role is technical lead working design and development of the hardware design, network and hardware product selection, support for procurements, and Hardware approval process for the program, both Regional and Global.
The selected applicant will work directly with the BOM manager and will be responsible for working with the Architecture Review Board (ARB); the Hardware Site Engineering Control Board (HSECB); and assigned engineering staff from all functional areas to support hardware and software selection, and to compile, maintain, and coordinate Bill of Material changes with Task Order Management and Customer Representatives.
The architect will ensure specification of common hardware and software for use in all Task Orders across the program to the greatest extent possible. The architect will support preparation of BOM for proposal pricing as well as ongoing hardware and software evaluation to support EOS/EOL and evolution roadmap planning.

Experience Required
- The Hardware Architect must understand systems architecting and architecture models
- applies advanced concepts, theories, and principles and contributes toward the development of new principles and concepts
- works unusually complex problems with consultative direction
- advises top management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications
- managerial/leadership experience or necessary skills
- A proven track record of successfully applying Hardware architecture principles to system design and development
- Familiarity with the application and use of hardware, operating systems, infrastructure, with Private on prem cloud design a plus
- Experience working in an integrated team environment with other systems, software, and specialty engineers to develop Hardware and Infrastructure solutions using engineering processes and methods
- Experience communicating the desired capabilities to a diverse group of developers, engineers, subject matter experts, and users
- Must also have a solid understanding of hardware and networking device selection, procurement processes, and baseline of hardware approaches
- Ability to support End of Sale/End of Support COA analysis
- Should have extensive experience and expertise in systems architecting and hardware design and hardware definition
- Experience in ballistic missile defense or air defense operations is highly desired
- Ability to analyze high level physical designs and infrastructure designs and represent them in engineering architectural models
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively present technical approaches and findings
- Be able to work effectively and cooperatively with people within and external to the program
- Experience with Private On Prem Cloud systems, VMWare, HP, Dell, and other COTS products and technologies is desirable
- Must have the ability to identify disconnects between hardware host and the COTS software hosted on the hardware
- Have familiarity with the C2BMC system and the missile defense domain
- Familiarity with Hardware maintenance and management approaches desired
- Ability to lead working groups, TIMs, and multiple teams to a common desire required
- Identification and definition of desired hardware baseline, integration practices and methods
- Understanding and appreciation of information assurance, maintenance, operation, and logistics concerns, and their application to the requirements, design, and development phases, and MDNT program processes and work products
- Extensive HW Architecture experience
- Ability to identify and define a HW baseline
- Deep understanding of HW and NW device selection
- Understand Procurement processes
- Experience with Private On Prem Cloud systems, VMWare, HP, Dell, and other COTS products
- Secret Clearance Required
- Expert, authority in discipline typically with an advanced degree and 12 years’ experience or bachelors with 14 year’s experience or equivalent

Salary : $150,000 - $170,000
