This position will be on-site in Colorado Springs
JOB SUMMARY
The Software Engineer I plans and performs software design, documentation, and development activities of modern web- and cloud-based applications for customers and implements Zivaro Software-as-a-Service products. You will be part of a software development team's evolution from a traditional DoD software engineering environment to an OpenShift / Cloud Development, Security, and Operations environment in support of APE prototyping supporting both our customers and internal initiatives. All work should be completed with a sense of urgency and timeliness, always striving to exceed anticipations, ensuring the highest standard of work excellence expected by ZIVARO engineers.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS
- Providing recommendations and be an expert who can establish an initial DevSecOps environment in a SIL on a RedHat Linux environment, with familiarity with OpenShift
- Being a key part of a team that is transitioning from legacy software to cloud-based architecture, software, and agile engineering approaches
- Develop code in accordance with coding and security standards, potentially including compliance with DoD's Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
- Working within agile processes for short cycle, fast-paced delivery both independently and on a team
- Healthy and productive communication and interaction with other Zivaro team members, management, and our customers
- Support other duties as assigned

100,000 - $120,000 a year
