What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Engineer position at ZL Chemicals LTD?

1. Equipment Operations and Maintenance
- Oversee the performance, maintenance, and reliability of chemical preparation units to ensure optimal functionality on-site.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
2. Client Support and Coordination
- Act as the primary technical contact for clients, ensuring smooth integration of equipment into their operations.
- Provide on-site training and troubleshooting support for client operators.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Ensure all operations meet industry safety standards and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and resolve any compliance issues.
4. Data Analysis and Reporting
- Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
- Prepare operational reports for both internal teams and clients.
5. Process Optimization
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve equipment design, workflows, and chemical preparation efficiency.
- Support R&D in testing and implementing new technologies or upgrades.
6. Team and Resource Management
- Train and mentor junior engineers or technicians.
- Coordinate logistics to ensure the availability of necessary chemicals and spare parts for seamless operations.
Qualifications:
- Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensed in Colorado
- Min. 6 years of relevant working experience in a similar role, preferably in oil and gas.
- Must have knowledge of mechanical technology including equipment operations, maintenance and repairs.
- Ability to speak, read, and write English to interpret equipment manuals, service notices, and related data.
- Must be organized and proficient in record keeping.
- Excellent communication skills and works as an effective team member
- Be self-motivated and has ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work under pressure when faced with equipment issues.
- Understanding of OHSA safety programs, process safety fundamentals, and basic environmental regulations.
- Valid Colorado Driver’s License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record.
