ZLA Solutions has immediate openings for Hospital Associates at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

**These are “Temp to Perm” positions with full-time transition to UAB – with full benefits and a potential hourly wage increase – possible after 60 days.**

Pay Rate and Schedule

• $13.00 / hour
• 1st and 2nd Shifts available

Job Description

~ UAB needs assistance with three distinct positions, including Dietary Aides, Dishwashers, and Patient Transporters. Details for each job are provided below:

*Dietary Aide*

• Prep/Prepare/Serve patient meals according to Meal Card
• Use Hospital standards/recipes to prepare meals/meal trays
• Adhere to all hospital/state requirements for handling food
• Work with multiple staff members to ensure timelines are met
• 1-2 years experience in the food service industry (strongly preferred)
• “Safe Serve” Certification (strongly preferred)

*Dishwasher / Sanitation*

• Use equipment provided by client to clean dishes according to regulated standards
• Remove/dispose properly of trash
• Always maintain clean work area
• Have courteous and caring attitude toward all patients, guests, families, visitors, and staff

*Patient Transporter*

• Transport patients to and from treatment areas, including expired patients to the morgue
• Records accurate patient information on log sheets, secure equipment necessary for movement of patients
• Assist patient care staff with transferring patients from beds onto stretchers, wheelchairs, or other approved means of conveyance
• Fill liquid oxygen tanks at the beginning of workday or as needed
• Attitude & Approach in a courteous and caring manner toward all patients, guests, families, visitors, and staff

Requirements for All Positions

• HS Diplomas or GED (preferred)
• Must be available to work 1st or 2nd Shift
• Must be able to work 8-12 hour shifts when needed
• Must be available to work rotating weekends & holiday shifts
• Must be able to pass a background check & pre-employment drug screen
