Job Overview
A qualified candidate to fill the role of Maintenance.Technician at our Elkmont, AL vet lab. Our Maintenance Technician plays an essential role in equipment preventative
maintenance, maintains deliveries, stock, and inventory, while working efficiently and cost effectively.

Job Details

• 1st Shift
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• $18.00 / hour with additional $2/hr for any shift worked on the weekends (Saturday &/or Sunday)

Job Duties

• Follow company policy and meet established procedures regarding bio-security, animal welfare, safety, ISO requirements, and drug/alcohol policy.
• Attendance is expected and required during normal working hours or during the assigned working schedule determined by the supervisor.
• Follow procedures outlined in work instructions.
• Monthly inventory counts.
• Daily cleaning/janitorial work.
• Maintain all incoming shipments and deliveries.
• Accountable for supply receiving and paperwork.
• Minor plumbing work
• HVAC filter changes
• Pressure washing, exterior cleaning as needed
• Fix potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
• Cleaning incinerator regularly
• Filling and properly labeling secondary container bottles
• Launder lab coats

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to stoop, bend, and lift 50lbs on a daily basis.
• Must have basic computer knowledge (experience with documents and spreadsheet is strongly preferred) and be able to communicate via email
• Must be a team player but also be able to work independently
• Must be capable of adapting to change, utilizing common sense, and completing tasks in a timely manner
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check (a criminal conviction record may not eliminate you from consideration)
• Plumbing knowldge (preferred)
