What are the responsibilities and job description for the Canopy Tour Manager position at Zoar Outdoor Adventure?
Zoar Outdoor is seeking a full-time onsite manager to operate our tree-based zipline canopy tour, located in western Massachusetts. If this job is for you, you are generous, playful, team-oriented, and ready to inspire and lead a staff of 40 exceptional guides. You are detail-oriented and focused on safety.
You will be responsible for the safe, fun, and profitable operation of this popular adventure attraction and your duties will include:
- Hiring, training, and managing staff
- Maintaining state-of-the-art procedures and programming
- Managing capacity
- Overseeing equipment maintenance
- Coordinating state licensure and inspections
- Maintaining a positive culture based on safe operation consistent with our core values
Operational management experience with a background in outdoor recreation, team building, environmental and experiential education is preferred but not required.
Compensation is negotiable based on experience. A minimum 2-year contract required. The manager must live locally and is responsible for their own transportation and living expenses. Successful completion of the State mandated Criminal Offender Record Inquiry (CORI) is a requirement for this position.
