The QC Inspector position is a key role that examine electronics, metal and plastic products, materials, assemblies for defects or deviations from specifications. Be able to use all types of manual and semi-automated measuring equipment and tools to precisely measure metals and plastic dimensions, surfaces, finishes and more. Be able to understand circuit boards and electromechanical assemblies.
Significant experience with electronics and electromechanical assembly manufacturing and troubleshooting and repair. Use special equipment and or software to measure, test, and inspect manufactured products to assure precise and reproducible results. Light training is available to orient to our equipment but real hands on experience needed.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Be able to expertly read and interpret drawings, tolerances and all complex customer requirements; then be able to check parts for conformance to these requirements.
· Checks fabricated electronics and or plastic parts. to assure they meet industry and customer standards, regulatory and specifications.
· Document and report any non-conforming materials.
· Be able to develop and implement economic sampling plans to assure quality controls.
· Check and ensure you and production teams follow all procedures.
· Focus on using end product testing to continuous improve products and processes to reduce rejects, failures, returns, and waste.
· Conduct tests, analyzing measurements, and overseeing production processes.
· Support all audits and customer visits and provide follow up as needed.
· Be flexible to support any type of electronics or electro-mechanical assemblies in a fast paced custom & contract manufacturing environment.
· Be abvle to assure test calibration of all measuring tool and equipment.
Qualifications and Skills
· Experience with electronics and electromechanical assembly or plastics desired.
· Familiarity with all types of metal and metal fabrication.
· Effective written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Logic and keen attention to detail combined with technical ability.
· Basic computer and math skills to calibrate and measure specifications.
· Good understanding of quality statistics, key metrics and use of data to improve quality.
· Be detail oriented as needed but strategic for process improvement.
· Be a team player that can spots issues but work with teams towards constructive feedback and problem resolution.
· Good interpersonal skills.
