What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer L1 position at zobility?
Job Description :
- Working in CATIA V5 / V6 to design and model fixturing used for holding vehicle parts during processes such as weld, paint, assembly, and test.
- Understanding body part construction, datums, and weld information to incorporate into fixture design.
- Preform layout checks with all users involved to confirm fixtures meet all requirements.
- Export 3D / 2D data and outsource to a supplier for quotes and ordering.
- Research ways fixturing or processes can be improved.
- Support any other request for fixturing, test equipment, or prototyping needs in the company.
- Support development groups such as Interior Design by creating data for evaluation models and Aerodynamic teams by designing wind tunnel test models.
