Job Description
The Plant Manager will oversee day-to-day operations at our Canton, GA facility, responsible for packaged gas production. Key responsibilities include P&L management, production scheduling, inventory control, maintenance, and facilities management.
Duties
- Maintain focus on the business plan, achieving organizational KPIs and partnering with the finance team to ensure accurate financial forecasts.
- Manage and improve financial performance through continuous improvement initiatives, cost objectives, efficiency optimization, and quality standards.
- Develop manufacturing plans and production schedules that minimize costs and reduce overhead.
- Provide leadership to manufacturing operations management, ensuring site meets or exceeds customer expectations in quality, delivery, and cost competitiveness.
- Manage labor resources and material sourcing to meet production commitments.
- Travel may be required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 5 years of related experience, preferably in a heavy industrial environment.
- Previous experience managing a manufacturing site.
- Experience managing a P&L.
- Oversight of scheduling, inventory control, plant layout, and material flow.
- Experience working in welding and fabrication environments is desirable.
- Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
- Able to lead/develop teams, individuals, and drive change.
- Able to identify and execute continuous improvement activities.
- Able to effectively write and deliver business correspondence.
