Job Location:10 Finderne Avenue, Bridgewater, NJ 08807
Position Type: 12 months with possible extension
Pay Rate $35/hr with benefits
Degree requirement
•BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biology, Biological Engineering, Microbiology, Packaging, Materials Science or Polymer Science would be preferred
•However we are also open to candidates with high school/community college background as long as this person is dedicated and has a can-do attitude.
Qualifications:
• Good technical skills with training in wet chemistry laboratory safety is a must.
•Comfort and knowledge of working with chemicals, especially hazardous chemicals.
•Organized with good time management skills.
•Good communications and observation skills
•Good focus and attention to detail.
•Ability to travel and work with outside agencies (Somerset Raritan Valley Sewerage Authority).
•Ability to perform repetitive work on a weekly basis.
•Appreciation of good housekeeping and ability to clean glassware thoroughly and repetitively.
•willing to conduct tedious/repetitive work.
Responsibilities:
•Work independently and/or cross-functionally to initiate and execute lab works on evaluation of recyclability, repulpability, and biodegradation of various materials.
•Responsible for collecting and recording, interpreting and documenting data in a manner consistent with Good Documentation Practices
•Abe to be aware and comply of all relevant standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
•Manages and prioritizes assigned projects with little or no direction.
