Job Description :
- Client is looking for a qualified candidate for an Electronics Quality Technician position to perform inspections of electrical harnesses and other electronic components in support of programs throughout the phases of our product development lifecycle from prototype through low-volume production in an ISO 9001 certified engineering and manufacturing environment.
- A successful Electronics Quality Technician will work with the manufacturing and engineering teams to provide the inspections and data needed to support their programs.
- In addition to the internal team, this position may interact with external suppliers to communicate quality issues, determine root cause, and verify corrective actions have been implemented.
Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to all of the following :
Perform incoming, in-process, and end of line inspections as requiredRead, interpret, and work from engineering drawings, specifications, and other controlled documentationIdentify, document, and resolve test anomalies and pursue corrective action as requiredIndependently perform verifications, and document results in a clear, precise, and complete mannerPropose, develop, and implement quality policies and procedures working with the Quality, Electronics Lab, and Electronics & Controls Engineering TeamsInterface with engineering and production to resolve nonconforming material issuesExamine incoming parts and documentation to confirm correct specifications and established standards are metInterface with suppliers to communicate quality issues, determine root cause, and verify corrective actions have been implementedCommunicate in a professional manner, both verbally and writtenProficient with Windows based computers and MS software such as Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and WordExperience with VeSys preferredAble to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environmentRequirements :
Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processes3 years of work experience in a defense or aerospace manufacturing environment in electronics quality / inspection or as harness assemblerWire harness experience in accordance with IPC-A-620 standard (certification preferred)Experience inspecting solder, crimping, conformal coating, staking, and surface mounted devices accordance with IPC-A-610 standardExperience with performing electronic testing and inspection using portable measuring devicesExperienced using Cirris cable testing system (or similar)Solid foundational knowledge of electrical systems and manufacturing processesKnowledge of the control of nonconforming hardware, failure / root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action processesAbility to read engineering drawingsPhysical Demands :
Position requires occasional moderate physical activityMoving and maneuvering heavy objects may be required at timesAdditional Requirements :
