\Job Title: Release Engineer for HVAC Components
\Job Summary:
\The Release Engineer for HVAC Components will be responsible for the development and validation of the automotive HVAC compressor and A/C lines. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles, as well as experience with design tools such as Unigraphics NX and CATIA.
\Responsibilities:

- Develop and validate components to meet performance objectives. \
- Coordinate development with other functional areas such as powertrain, BIW, Aero/Thermal, Engine Cooling, and suppliers. \
- Write source packages, specifications, requirements, change notices, and overall supplier management to meet program timing and deliverables. \
- Maintain a component and sub-system DVP&R, support and keep up-to-date with component bench testing, simulation, drive-cell, and static cell test results, as well as perform data analysis and establish proper corrective actions as required. \
- Lead virtual teams to design and perform CFD and FEA analysis for components to meet performance. \
- Support pilot and pre-production build processes at the assembly plant for development and installation of AC lines and compressors. \
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. \\$lt;/ul\
- Bachelor of Science (Engineering) in mechanical or electrical engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university. \
- ~3-5 years of experience in HVAC compressors and/or A/C line design/development. Other related design experience (Engine cooling, Aero-Thermal) also a plus. \
- Very good knowledge about Unigraphics NX and CATIA. \
- Strong PC MS Office skills required. Experience with Design Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (DFMEA). \
- Experience with Design Verification Plan & Report (DVP&R). \
- Experience with Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). \
- Automotive assembly plant experience. \
- HVAC system engineering knowledge. \
- Previous experience as an AC line design and release engineer. \\$lt;/ul\
