Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Complex Inspection and Process Improvement Specialist to join our quality control team in New York. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance product quality and efficiency.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of AS9102 compliant inspection procedures and the ability to analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. They will also have excellent communication and training skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex information to operators and inspectors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process Improvement: Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to ensure they are efficient, effective, and compliant with industry standards.
- Inspection and Testing: Conduct complex first piece inspections and AS9102 compliant first article inspections to ensure product quality and integrity.
- Training and Development: Train operators and inspectors on best practices, procedures, and inspection techniques to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Problem Solving: Assist in problem-solving activities to provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all measuring and test equipment is properly maintained and calibrated to ensure accurate results.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply verbal, written, and computer work instructions in English.
- Demonstrated ability to perform basic math operations.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting.
