What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Quality Inspector - Aerospace position at Zobility?
Responsibilities:
- Plan and perform various complex first piece inspections and AS9102 compliant first article inspections to determine manufacturing process effectiveness, and operator and/or technician competency.
- Be able to assess process risk due to variations in set-up, tools used, ambiguous instructions, measuring equipment limitations, human factors, and sub-optimum manufacturing methods.
- Inspect parts using inspection techniques and layouts of varying complexity.
- Aid in manufacturing and production management to ensure workmanship standards are being met.
- Assist all engineering disciplines to support process improvement and investigative inspection activities.
- Help train operators and inspectors as to the best practices, procedures, and inspection techniques.
- Assist in problem solving activities to provide evaluation support for identified nonconformities.
- Proficiency in the use and understanding of automated and manual measuring and test equipment.
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and GD&T concepts.
- Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- At least 5 years of experience in Quality Inspection in a manufacturing setting.
