Job Description:
- Senior member of a team of contracts professionals and consults with team members daily
- Drafts, generates, negotiates, interprets, and manages complex contract documents, in accordance with internal and external customer schedules and requests, to ensure these documents properly reflect business objectives.
- Performs analysis and prepares reports to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters, including government procurement and cost control guidelines.
- Manages small-sized projects.
- Reviews contractual terms and conditions for their acceptability, as well as assessing the risk and impact. Analyzes contracts to ensure compliance to company policies, government and commercial specifications and other requirements.
- Uses legal resources and other subject matter experts to ensure all levels of risk are recognized and subsequently addressed through development of unique contract terms and conditions.
- Briefs team leader and other functional areas on contract status, risk mitigation and contingency plans based on developed recommendations.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline workflow and improve quality of work product.
- Track and report key functional metrics to improve effectiveness.
- Represents the organization on legal issues concerning contract matters.
- Provides legal advice on contractual matters and contract administration.
- Maintains historical legal records.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in with 6 years of relevant experience OR Advanced Degree and 4 years of relevant experience OR In the absence of a degree, 10 years of relevant experience is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate or Advanced Degree in Business Administration
Salary : $33 - $36
