Job Description
- The Torque Security Calibration Engineer will be responsible for developing, testing, and validating vehicle-based calibrations to achieve world-class torque security calibrations for both spark ignited engines and electrical powertrain systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, generate, and verify feature calibrations in hot climate, cold climate, and high altitude in accordance with powertrain system functional objectives.
- Analyze and solve complex system problems as they relate to functional safety, engine performance, fuel consumption, emissions, OBD, and base engine calibration development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement calibration solutions that achieve program requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
- 3 years of experience in the development and calibration of gasoline spark ignition engines.
- Strong knowledge of internal combustion engines.
- Data acquisition experience collecting and processing data.
