Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in medical imaging and demonstrate proficiency in various radiologic procedures. This role is essential in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients in a fast-paced clinical environment, including a Level I Trauma Center and urgent care settings.
Duties
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, PET scans, and nuclear medicine imaging.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
- Ensure patient safety by adhering to established protocols and guidelines during imaging procedures.
- Conduct thorough diagnostic evaluations and maintain accurate patient records.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and positioning them correctly.
- Maintain and operate radiologic equipment, ensuring it is functioning properly and safely.
- Assist in emergency medicine situations by providing timely imaging support as required.
- Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and techniques.
Requirements
- Current certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic radiology principles and practices.
- Experience in PET scans, nuclear medicine, and emergency medicine is preferred.
- Familiarity with physiology knowledge relevant to medical imaging.
- Ability to perform diagnostic evaluations efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
