LPN Long Term Care

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including urgent care, geriatrics, and primary care. As an LPN, you will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Duties

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
• Assist with patient assessments and documentation of medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, including wound care, IV infusion, and other nursing procedures.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and wellness practices.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by following aseptic techniques.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Support patients in various specialties such as ophthalmology, family planning, and hospital medicine.

Skills

• Proficiency in urgent care practices and protocols.
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique to prevent infection.
• Experience in geriatrics and providing compassionate care to elderly patients.
• Knowledge of pediatric nursing, particularly toddler care.
• Familiarity with neonatal ventilator management for newborns requiring respiratory support.
• Ability to provide family planning education and support to patients.
• Competence in primary care practices for comprehensive patient assessment.
• Experience with IV infusion techniques and medication administration.
