Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including IV infusions, while adhering to aseptic techniques.
- Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Provide excellent patient service by answering questions and addressing concerns regarding medications and pharmacy services.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care settings to ensure optimal medication management for patients.
- Perform inventory management, including ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred; experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and medication administration practices.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to pharmaceuticals and patient care.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience or training in critical care pharmacy is a plus.
