Requirements-
Years of Experience and Skills Required:
- Testing complex Web Applications - 8 years (Required)
- Testing all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - 8 years (Required)
- Database/SQL Language expertise - 3 years (Required)
- XML, JSON, and API Testing - 3 years (Required)
- Automation Testing experience - 2 years (Required)
Preferred Experience:
- API Testing (SOAP and REST) - 2 years (Preferred)
- Test automation using open-source technologies/in-house frameworks - 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with test frameworks like JUnit, TestNG - 1 year (Preferred)
- Performance Testing Tools (e.g., WAPT Pro, JMeter) - 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with Zephyr Scale - 1 year (Preferred)
- Experience with Jira - 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities-
- Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other relevant documentation to develop detailed and comprehensive test cases.
- Design, create, and execute automated functional and regression test cases; meticulously document issues, test cases executed, results, and detailed testing summaries.
- Perform manual testing and validate data to ensure accuracy and adherence to requirements.
- Execute advanced SQL queries to analyze, validate, and manipulate data for testing purposes.
- Collaborate with development teams and customers to fully understand the functionality under test, define test case automation, and effectively communicate findings to the team.
- Conduct performance and accessibility testing to ensure the system meets quality standards.
- Review user requirements, processes, and challenges to automate applications or improve existing systems.
- Work closely with the project team during sprints/releases by providing testing effort estimates, resolving defects, and sharing status updates on assignments or issues.
- Support and facilitate the implementation of applications and projects within the Texas Education Agency.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40.71 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
