Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Radiologic Technologist will work in a fast-paced environment, including ER, urgent care, and trauma settings, contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and sonography as needed.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to determine appropriate imaging techniques based on patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of imaging procedures performed.
- Operate imaging equipment safely and effectively while adhering to established protocols.
- Assist with the preparation of patients for examinations by explaining procedures and answering questions.
- Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and best practices.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and organization within the imaging department.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) is required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Experience in an ER or trauma center setting is preferred; familiarity with Level I or Level II Trauma Centers is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating CT scanners and sonography equipment is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure in urgent care environments while maintaining attention to detail.
