Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures by conducting thorough assessments and obtaining medical histories.
- Administer medications and IV fluids as prescribed, including performing IV insertion and phlebotomy as necessary.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition during procedures, providing immediate intervention when required.
- Assist physicians during interventional procedures by maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring all necessary equipment is prepared and functioning.
- Educate patients and their families about the procedure, potential risks, recovery processes, and ostomy care if applicable.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that address patients' needs, including those related to workers' compensation law and assisted living situations.
- Document all patient interactions accurately in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Skills
- Strong nursing skills with a focus on critical care transport and patient assessment.
- Proficiency in IV insertion techniques and phlebotomy.
- Knowledge of aseptic technique to prevent infection during procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities, ensuring their needs are met throughout the care process.
