Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Surgical Technician will play a crucial role in assisting surgical teams during procedures, ensuring that the operating room is prepared and maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a commitment to patient care, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers and Ambulatory Surgery Centers.
Duties
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures by utilizing aseptic techniques.
- Assist surgeons and nurses by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies during operations.
- Collect and analyze data related to surgical procedures to improve efficiency and patient outcomes.
- Ensure all surgical instruments are properly sterilized and accounted for before and after each procedure.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals in critical care settings, including PICU, to provide optimal patient care.
- Monitor patients' conditions pre- and post-operatively, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic health record systems such as Epic.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices in surgical technology.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Surgical Technician from an accredited program is Required.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis related to surgical procedures.
- Experience working in a Level I Trauma Center or Ambulatory Surgery Center is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and patient care protocols.
- Ability to effectively handle surgical instruments, including sutures, with precision.
- Skills: Exp. with all ages, Inpatient, Trauma, Scrub, Aseptic Technique, ENT, General , Ortho, Ortho/Spine, Urology, Endo/Laparoscopic, Vascular, Thoracic, Neuro, Gyn, Neuro/Spine.
- PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: Outpatient, Level I Trauma, Teaching Hospital, Transplant, Bariatrics, Ophthalmology, Plastics, Podiatry, Ortho/Total Joints, Davinci Robot.

Pay: $1,500.00 - $1,570.00 per week
