Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical-surgical environment. This role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes, performing assessments, administering medications, and supporting patients through their recovery process.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine individual care needs.
- Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatments.
- Perform phlebotomy and assist with laboratory tests as required.
- Utilize medical imaging systems effectively for diagnostic purposes.
- Provide health coaching and education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Participate in critical care transport as needed for patient transfers.
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure compliance with health regulations and standards of care.
Qualifications
- Must have ACLS & BLS certification; RQI certifications will not be accepted
- Must have 2 years recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting
- Must have Alabama RN license.
