Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the Medical Step Down/Pulmonary Unit in a 12-hour night shift role. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing specialized care to patients in the step-down unit, including invasive monitoring, ventilator care, and more. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, where patient safety and comfort are a top priority.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in the Step Down Unit and Pulmonary Unit, including invasive monitoring and ventilator care.
• Administer medications, monitor patient vitals, and provide necessary interventions for patients recovering from critical illness or procedures.
• Provide care for patients with trachs, NIPPV, and transvenous pacing.
• Float to other units as needed to meet staffing requirements.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Communicate with patients and families about treatment plans and progress.

Required Qualifications:

• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• AHA NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.
• New York State RN License required.
• Experience in medical step-down or pulmonary care required.
• Invasive monitoring and ventilator care experience required.
• Must be comfortable with floating to other units as needed.

• Shift Type: 12-hour night shifts
• Guaranteed Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• On-Call: No
• Expected to work every other weekend and every other holiday.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full-time guaranteed hours (36 hours per week)
• Opportunity for travel nursing

Additional Information:

• Floating between units may be required as part of the role.
