Job Overview

Responsibilities
- Oversee the nursing staff to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA standards.
- Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that promote high standards of patient care.
- Manage daily operations of the nursing department, including shift management and nurse management.
- Conduct regular assessments of patient care practices, ensuring adherence to MDS guidelines.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide mentorship and training to nursing staff, fostering professional development and growth.
- Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed.
- Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained to meet patient needs effectively.
Experience
- Proven experience in hospice care or home care settings is preferred.
- Strong background in nursing administration with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Familiarity with MDS processes and regulations is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of physiology and nursing best practices is essential for this role.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Ability to manage a diverse team of nurses while maintaining a positive work environment.
