Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for those requiring assistance due to health challenges, including dementia, hospice care, and long-term care needs.
Must have CNA license and HHA Ceritification.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety while lifting as needed.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Observe and report changes in the client’s condition to healthcare professionals.
- Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, laundry, and light housekeeping.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Assist with specialized care for clients with dementia or those in hospice care.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in home community care or assisted living settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of dementia care practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform patient observation and report any significant changes.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential.
- Must be able to lift clients safely as required by their needs.
- Certification as a Home Health Aide or equivalent training is desirable but not mandatory.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently while following care plans.
