Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide basic patient care including assistance with mobility and positioning.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with facility policies.
- Support the nursing team in emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine as needed.
- Assist with phlebotomy tasks when required and ensure proper handling of medical samples.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to provide outpatient care and support for patients with disabilities.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety of patient areas while adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Nursing Assistant is preferred.
- Experience in a medical office setting or Level II Trauma Center is advantageous.
- Proficiency in eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and patient care standards.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities and diverse patient populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient advocacy and care.
