We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker to join our team. This position will require an Alaska LMSW license. Candidates without license can submit for position, but must obtain license prior to start date.

Guaranteed Hours: 72 Hours per 2 weeks - Traveler can be called off for 1, 8-hour shift per 2 weeks
Duties
- Conduct assessments to determine clients' needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
- Provide crisis management and intervention services to individuals facing acute challenges.
- Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to empower clients toward positive change.
- Facilitate workforce development programs aimed at enhancing clients' employability and life skills.
- Offer mentoring and support to clients in their recovery journey, particularly in addiction counseling.
- Supervise and guide interns or junior staff members in their social work practice.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, including Medicare services, to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in social work and behavioral health.
Requirements
- A degree in Social Work or a related field is required; licensure is preferred.
- Experience in behavioral health settings is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and management are essential for this role.
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with workforce development initiatives is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are necessary for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
