Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings across different locations. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including basic life support when necessary.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and home care needs.
- Perform venipuncture and other clinical procedures as required.
- Monitor patient progress and document changes in condition accurately.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and pain management techniques to address patient needs effectively.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Current nursing license valid in the state of practice.
- Experience in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) preferred but not required.
- Proficient in basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Strong knowledge of discharge planning processes and home care practices.
- Familiarity with botulinum toxin treatment is a plus.
- Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various clinical settings, including clinics.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
