Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, supporting both inpatient and outpatient services. As an LPN, you will play a crucial role in patient assessment, medical documentation, and assisting with various procedures in collaboration with registered nurses and physicians.

Shift: 3x12 Variable
-Note that caregivers are not asked to rotate between night/day shifts (occasional exceptions for urgent staffing needs). Shifts will be either Days or Nights, but dependent on facility needs at time of start date.

Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring comfort and safety throughout their stay.
- Conduct patient assessments to monitor health status and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist with ophthalmology procedures and occupational health assessments as required.
- Perform venipuncture and specimen collection processing for laboratory testing.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients leaving the facility.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within a Level II Trauma Center setting to provide optimal care.
- Support patients during their inpatient stay by addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
Skills
- Strong background in patient care with a focus on empathy and communication.
- Proficiency in ophthalmology practices and occupational health protocols is advantageous.
- Experience with medical documentation systems and processes.
- Competence in venipuncture techniques and specimen collection processing.
- Ability to conduct thorough patient assessments and implement appropriate care plans.
- Familiarity with discharge planning processes to facilitate patient transitions from hospital to home or other facilities.
- Knowledge of working within a Level II Trauma Center environment is preferred but not mandatory.
