Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Travel Nurse to join our team. As a Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in various healthcare settings across the country. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Perform catheter care and assist with procedures requiring specialized skills.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop discharge planning for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatment.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding health management and discharge instructions.
- Work with patients with disabilities and provide tailored care based on individual needs.
- Utilize advanced systems for patient monitoring and treatment, including neonatal ventilators when necessary.
- Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to enhance patient comfort during end-of-life care.
- Engage in medical-surgical nursing practices as needed.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following experience or skills:
- Proficiency in catheter care and mammography is highly desirable.
- Experience working with individuals who have disabilities or chronic ailments.
- Familiarity with neonatal ventilators and other critical care systems.
- Background in medical-surgical nursing is preferred.
- Knowledge of hospice palliative medicine practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
