Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical/Surgical team. As an RN in this dynamic environment, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing various medical and surgical procedures. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes while maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes in condition to the physician.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Educate patients and their families about health management, post-operative care, and recovery processes.
- Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
- Participate in case management activities to coordinate care for patients with complex needs.
- Provide support in critical care situations within a Level II Trauma Center setting when necessary.
- Engage in memory care practices for patients with cognitive impairments as needed.
- Stay informed about workers' compensation law and hospital medicine protocols relevant to patient care.
- Assist with coding procedures related to patient diagnoses and treatments for accurate billing processes.
- Administer Botulinum toxin treatment under appropriate supervision when applicable.
Skills
- Must have ID RN or multi-state compact license.
- Must have BLS certifications, (Must be through the American Heart Association); RQI certifications will not be accepted.
- Must have 2 years Med/Surg experience.
