Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Sonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound examinations, ensuring patient comfort, and providing accurate diagnostic evaluations. This role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy, as well as proficiency in sonography techniques. The Sonographer will work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment.
VASCULAR SONOGRAPHER
40 hours a week
DAYS
Experience:
Associate degree in Applied Science in vascular technology.
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy, hemodynamics as well as color flow doppler principles.
License/Certifications:
Registered or Registry eligible by the ARDMS or CCI as a registered vascular technologist (RVT).
Staff who are Registry eligible are required to successfully pass the Registry exam achieving “Active Registry Status” within one year from the date of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations on patients, including cardiac and vascular studies.
- Utilize advanced sonography equipment to capture high-resolution images for diagnostic purposes.
- Assess patient history and symptoms to determine appropriate examination protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures while explaining the process clearly.
- Maintain accurate records of examinations, including images and reports for physician review.
- Collaborate with medical staff to discuss findings and assist in developing treatment plans.
- Stay updated on advancements in sonography technology and techniques.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and standards within the Level I Trauma Center environment.
