Zoetis is seeking a Director, Enterprise Risk Management to provide strategic leadership in managing and evolving the existing risk management governance framework and policies reporting to the SVP, Global Risk & Finance Excellence. This role ensures a consistent and integrated approach across departments to align with the company’s risk management mandate. The Director will monitor risk exposures, consult on mitigation strategies, and leverage Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) tools to create and present insights on risk profiles, trends, and mitigation efforts to the Zoetis Executive Team (“ZET”) and senior leadership. This position requires strong coordination and cross-functional collaboration with both the Head of Global Strategy and the Chief Compliance Officer with support of the ERM Taskforce comprised of multifunctional senior leaders.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and compliance frameworks related to risk management and business operations (e.g., SOX, Basel III, Dodd-Frank.
- Proficient in using ERM tools and software to create dashboards, generate reports, and develop presentations for board and executive leadership.
- Skilled in risk identification, quantification, and aggregation; skilled in using risk management software, dashboards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Strong leadership capabilities, with a proven track record of coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with senior leadership & stakeholders.
- Ability to simplify and articulate complex issues through clear messaging
- Manage multiple projects, prioritize initiatives, and implement solutions across the organization.
- Strong ability to think critically, analyze complex data, and make sound recommendations.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Indicate the formal education, certification or license required and/or preferred. Include the minimum number of years of relevant experience required for the position (where legally permissible).
- Bachelor’s degree in risk management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or professional certifications is a plus.
- 12 years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a related field, with significant experience in a leadership or management role.
- Proven experience in managing risk management frameworks and processes.
- Strong project and program management skills
- Experience in conducting risk assessments audits.
- Previous experience working with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver on risk management goals.
