Position Summary:
The Head of MarTech Strategy & Architecture will be a key member of the Global Commercial IT leadership team in a global animal health company, responsible for defining and leading the strategic direction of marketing technology (MarTech) capabilities globally. This leader will collaborate closely with marketing, commercial, and digital teams to develop a unified MarTech architecture that aligns with the company's global strategy, enabling business growth and customer engagement. The role will oversee the planning, implementation, and governance of the MarTech ecosystem, ensuring innovative, scalable, and compliant solutions are in place to support the company's commercial objectives. Additionally, the role will drive experimentation and pilot programs to validate new advanced MarTech capabilities relevant to the company. This role is critical in shaping the MarTech strategy and ensuring the company remains at the forefront of digital innovation in the animal health industry.
Responsibilities:
- MarTech Strategy & Roadmap: Define and develop the MarTech strategy, aligned with overall business goals and commercial strategies, to drive customer engagement, acquisition, and retention. Create a multi-year MarTech roadmap that supports global and regional marketing objectives, ensuring scalability and future readiness. Partner with commercial stakeholders to evaluate and prioritize MarTech initiatives and ensure business alignment.
- Architecture & Platform Design: Lead the design and development of a scalable, modern MarTech architecture that integrates seamlessly with existing platforms and systems. Define standards, frameworks, and best practices for the selection, integration, and use of marketing technologies. Ensure the MarTech stack is well-architected, secure, and optimized to support a data-driven marketing approach, facilitating analytics, personalization, and automation.
- Innovation & Emerging Technologies: Serve as a thought leader in MarTech innovations, exploring new technologies and tools that can enhance the marketing strategy and customer experience. Drive experimentation and pilot programs to validate new capabilities and bring new solutions to market rapidly. Partner with internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation, advanced analytics, AI/ML, and other emerging trends.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Lead a cross-functional team of architects and technology experts, fostering a high-performance culture. Work closely with global and regional IT, marketing, and digital leaders to ensure seamless integration and alignment across the organization. Promote collaboration and knowledge-sharing across regions and functions to build a unified and effective MarTech approach.
- Governance & Compliance: Establish governance processes to manage and maintain the MarTech ecosystem, ensuring data privacy, compliance, and security standards are adhered to globally.
- Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with key MarTech vendors and technology partners to ensure delivery of high-quality solutions and that products are effectively used. Ensure technology assets are in alignment with MarTech strategy.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in MarTech, Digital Marketing, IT Strategy, or related fields, with 5 years in a senior leadership role
- Strong understanding of marketing, digital transformation, and technology landscapes, with proven experience in building and managing a complex MarTech stack
- Experience in a global or multi-regional organization, preferably in the life sciences, healthcare, or animal health sectors
- Strong strategic thinking, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
- Familiarity with key MarTech platforms such as CRM, CDP, Marketing Automation, DAM, CMS, commerce, and analytics tools
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Technical Skills Requirements:
- Experience with data-driven marketing strategies, personalization, and customer journey mapping
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as GDPR and CCPA
- Certifications in relevant MarTech platforms and architecture methodologies are a plus
- Strategic Vision: Ability to translate business objectives into technology strategy
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading and building high-performing teams

The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in Colorado. Base pay may vary based on location and other factors.
Base Pay Range: $202,000 - $291,000
The following base pay range reflects the anticipated base pay for this position if a selected candidate were to be located in California, NJ Remote, NY Remote, or Washington. Base pay may vary based on location and
other factors.
Base Pay Range: $214,000 - $329,000
This position is eligible for short-term incentive compensation. The position is also eligible for long-term incentive.
