Position Summary
Test pharmaceutical and biological raw materials for animal health manufacturing according to test methods.
Hours: 1st shift.
Position Responsibilities
Conduct testing of pharmaceutical and biological raw materials following established test procedures. Basic analytical skills required include pipetting, reagent preparation, analytical balances, chemical identification, pH, water determinations AA and UV/Vis. Advanced analytical skills such as HPLC and GC preferred.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), CGMPs, Company Quality Standards and FDA/EU Guidelines. Adhere to testing schedules to accomplish a high volume of critical work without compromising the integrity of the results. Communicate effectively with lead analysts and colleagues.
Education and Experience
Required
Two-year degree in a science-based field. The candidate should possess excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills. Basic computer skills required.
Preferred
BS in chemistry or biochemistry. Two or more year's analytical chemistry laboratory experience.
Technical Skills and Competencies Required
Experience in an analytical chemistry testing laboratory performing wet chemistry testing and instrumentation including HPLC, GC, AA and UV/Vis preferred. Working familiarity with Word and Excel required.
Physical Position Requirements
This job has a combination of standing and seated duties.
