The Sr. Director, Data, Record Management and Privacy Compliance will have primary responsibility for ensuring that the company complies with best practices regarding data management, protection, privacy, and record management. This role will involve developing, implementing, and monitoring data management compliance programs and controls to safeguard sensitive information and maintain the integrity of data management processes. In addition, the role will be responsible for creating and implementing communication and training plans to educate the borader organization on these topics, The role is also expected to stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to proactively adapt compliance strategies as well as to mitigate new emerging risks in the areas of data management and protection. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, this role will work closely with Legal and Compliance, Human Resources, Zoetis Tech & Digital, Information Security and Risk Management & Compliance, Internal Audit, and will have supervisory responsibility for the Corporate Counsel, Privacy.
Responsibilities
- Regulatory Compliance : leadership and strategic oversight of the Privacy Program, including evolving the program to address business needs. Ensure adherence to laws which govern data privacy and security. Respond to data breaches or privacy incidents, including investigating and reporting as required by law. Oversee the organization’s record retention policies to ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of data.
