What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler/Test Technician position at Zolo Carbon Smartech (ZCS)?
SUMMARY OF THE ROLE:
Accurately and efficiently assembles/tests a variety of moderately complex products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. Will actively participate in company initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs. The role requires a high level of attention to details, the ability to track more than one priority at once, and commitment to quality control. Will be working under general guidance in a team environment.
JOB DUTIES:
- Performs assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, mechanical/electronic tools, test equipment assembly fixtures, and inspection measurement equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Records test results on data forms using basic electrical equipment and flow meters.
- Interprets blueprints, engineering orders, test specifications, customer requirements, and quality directives.
- Produces and inspects assemblies that conform to product specification. Assembles/tests to company standards.
- Performs troubleshooting and failure analysis of non-conforming parts.
- Actively participates in company initiatives by identifying and providing suggestions on areas for improvement.
- Observes all safety rules and maintains safe work areas.
- Ensures equipment is calibrated in accordance with calibration schedule.
- Maintains inventory through first in first out, cycle counts, and work order completion.
- Maintains work instructions by updating approved redlines and completing change orders.
- Actively looks for ways to improve skills.
- May perform other related responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Computer skills including Excel, Word, Outlook, ERP systems and Teams.
- General mechanical assembly experience.
- Electronics assembly experience.
- Optical experience a plus.
- Able to select appropriate procedures, techniques, tools, and equipment.
- Possess effective interpersonal communication skills, as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
