Night Custodian Sweeper (2024-2025) - Zoneton Middle School

This position is for the 2024-2025 school year.

Night Custodian Sweeper - ZMS is seeking an energetic, team-oriented candidate to perform routine custodial activities: cleaning bathrooms, cleaning classrooms and offices, sweeping hallway floors, maintaining the cafeteria's cleanliness, and assisting with clean up following events/community activities. The night sweeper may also be responsible for securing the building in the evenings. 

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and provide a copy to HR upon recommendation to hire.

This position is for 4 hours per day and 182 days per year.

170 student instructional days, 4 holidays, 7 planning days and 1 extended day

Contracted days will be adjusted depending upon start date.

New employees to the district may bring in up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience. (NOTE:  It will be the responsibility of the applicant hired to submit the BCPS verification of experience form to their prior employer to complete and return to HR.)

Step 0: $14.05 per hour

Step 10: $16.00 per hour

Although Classified positions are paid on an hourly rate, salary is set up on a year-long contract and divided by the number of remaining paychecks.  This position is considered a ten month employee on the pay schedule.  4 paychecks will be paid at the end of June.
