We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Technician to join our team. This pivotal role involves maintaining HVAC systems and ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests and staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC systems and be able to perform installations, maintenance, and repairs for residential and commercial clients.
Under a higher-rated HVAC Technician's general guidance and supervision, the ideal candidate will perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. All work is performed in compliance with applicable codes and established performance standards. Complies with organizational and departmental policies and procedures. They may sometimes be required to be on 24-hour calls to respond to HVAC alarms.
Weekends are Sunday and Monday.
What You Will Do:
- Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and commercial settings.
- Perform regular inspections and diagnose issues with heating and cooling systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex HVAC problems efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local codes and regulations.
- Provide accurate estimates for labor and materials for new installations and repairs.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly store all tools and equipment.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest HVAC technologies and industry standards.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain issues and solutions.
What This Role Requires:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A current EPA Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certificate is required.
- HVAC certification from a recognized technical school or equivalent experience.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Physical ability to perform standing, bending, reaching, and lifting tasks.
- Performs general maintenance work as assigned.
PHYSICAL AND MEDICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. In good health and capable of strenuous and heavy physical labor.
2. Completing post-offer medical screening and drug tests emphasizing cardiovascular, respiratory, and skeletal systems before beginning work.
3. Successful completion of post-offer driving record/license checks.
4. No allergies related to plants or animals, which may interfere with the ability to work.
5. There is no impairment of sight, smell, hearing, touch, balance, or agility of movement that might interfere with the ability to work.
6. Ability to safely lift and carry 40 pounds at 50 feet.
7. Ability to work from heights and/or in confined spaces, including the ability to climb and work from ladders.
8. Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
9. Immunocompetence. Possible exposure to inclement weather, dust, potentially dangerous and unpredictable animal species, potentially hazardous machinery, restraint devices, and toxic chemicals and drugs. Occasional use of protective clothing or safety equipment, including goggles, masks, gloves, braces, helmets, and gowns, is required.
10. Must be medically able to wear appropriate respiratory protection.
