Van Driver Aide

Overview
Job Summary:

The Van Driver Aide assists the primary driver in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of passengers. This role involves helping passengers board and exit the vehicle, securing mobility devices if needed, maintaining a safe and orderly environment, and providing assistance during transit.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the van safely.
• Ensure passengers are seated and secured with seat belts or other required restraints.
• Assist passengers with special needs, including those with mobility challenges.
• Communicate with the driver regarding passenger concerns or issues during transit.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service.
• Help monitor passenger behavior to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Assist in keeping the vehicle clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety procedures and guidelines.
• Report any incidents or concerns to the driver or supervisor.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift or assist passengers if necessary.
• Patience and professionalism when dealing with passengers.
• Must pass background checks and any required training.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $16.30 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
