Summary: Provide regularly scheduled activities in a non-residential setting that are designed to foster the acquisition of skills, build positive social behavior and interpersonal competence, foster greater independence and personal choice as part of the person centered team. Career planning or pre-vocational activities to develop learning opportunities and career options based on the individuals interests and skill set. Operate all equipment per OSHA requirements and perform scope of work per federal contract.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Other related duties may be assigned.
- Facilitate skill development to communicate effectively with supervisors, co-workers and customers.
- Model and coach to encourage generally accepted community or workplace conduct and dress.
- Complete all Medicaid required documentation including daily notes and monthly summaries per the regulation requirements. Maintain all other Zoom Group required documents.
- If required, provide physical care and assistance to Team Members in performing daily life activities. Administers medication to Team Members when applicable.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe work environment for Team Members, discuss general workplace safety.
- Active training in workplace/program problem solving skills and strategies.
- Active training in acquiring skills to follow directions, complete or attend to tasks and mobility training if applicable.
- Assist team members in performing work and staying engaged in the laundry facility. Provide instruction to team members and help prepare them for a job in the community. Ensure that work is performed within standards and completed on time.
- Ensure all linen is washed, dried and folded correctly in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper weighing of linen carts that come from area divisions of Lexington/Louisville.
- Ensure linens are sorted into proper line bins.
- Operate industrial laundry washing equipment.
- Weigh linen to 100 lbs; hang on proper rails for preparation for washing.
- Assist Laundry Supervisor and Plant Manager in providing a clean and safe work environment for team members.
- Inform co-workers on the status of completed linens; coordinate activities to ensure linens are shipped back to the proper division.
- Perform required documentation including, daily contact notes and monthly summaries on team members.
- Participate as part of the team members’ person centered team.
- Provide active support to foster the acquisition of skills, build positive social behavior and interpersonal competence, independence, and personal choice.

Qualifications
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education/Experience – Must be eighteen (18) years old and have a high school diploma or GED; or Twenty-One (21) years old. Experience working in a commercial laundry facility and/or supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Skills - Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one, or two- step, instructions; Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
Licenses/Certifications - CPR Certification; Safety and First Aid.
Computer Skills – The ability to use basic computer skills; include but not limited to e-mail, entering required data using agency software, training modules.
