Overview:
We are seeking a passionate Dog Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a desire to help pet owners build strong bonds with their furry companions. Must have a good personality and communicate well with people. We will fully train, no experience necessary.
Duties:
- Conduct training sessions for dog owners of various breeds and ages
- Teach basic obedience commands such as sit, stay, heel, and come
- Address behavioral issues including aggression, anxiety, and excessive barking
- Customize training programs to meet the specific needs of each dog and owner
- Provide guidance and support to pet owners on effective training techniques
- Maintain detailed records of each dog's progress and behavior
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in dog training or related fields such as veterinary assistance, pet grooming, or pet sitting is a plus
- Strong understanding of animal behavior and learning principles
- Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments with care and compassion
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with both dogs and their owners
- Physical ability for heavy lifting and animal restraint when necessary
- Certification in dog training is a plus
